Whether you want to improve your grammar, prepare for an exam, or master the language for academic reasons, we have the perfect course for you.
We have a number of course options to suit all needs and budgets.
Our general English lessons give students the solid foundation they need for developing their fluency and accuracy. General English classes include grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and the four main language skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing.
Students also have a choice of skills classes and more specialised options such as business and academic English, as well as exam preparation classes.
Whether you’re preparing for an exam, a trip, an important presentation or a job interview, we have a course for you. Our team of teachers develop personalised courses designed to meet your real-life needs. Learn the language and skills you need and put them into practice immediately.
Our dynamic lessons focus on practical communication skills. We use a range of authentic materials including news articles, videos, presentations, and other resources to help you communicate in the real world. Lessons are designed so that newly-acquired skills can be put into practice instantly.
Please note that we require a minimum number of 3 students per class/level to open a course.
Students aged 16 and 17
Connect only accepts students who are aged 16+. Students who are aged 16 or 17 will not receive a junior course level of supervision and will be in classes with students who are aged 18+. Students and their parents/guardians should consider this before they enrol on any course.
'In comparison to other language schools, at Connect, every student is much more than a number!' Sven, student at Connect, June to August 2017
'Thank you very much for these two months with you. I learnt more with you than with any other school in Cardiff!' Mohammed, student at Connect, May 2017
The test includes a Level and Need Assessment with multiple choice grammar test, reading and writing exercises and a speaking interview.
At the end of the course you will receive a certificate which will state your achievements and will be very useful to show future employers.
The lessons are designed around our own course materials from the best accredited publications, supplemented with interesting materials from various sources, including internet and newspapers.
At CIEA, we take your progress seriously. During your course, your study is monitored though (progress) tests, and regular consultation with your teacher. We want to make sure that you are progressing as quickly as you can.
Our mission is to offer to international learners quality English as a second language instruction in a friendly and dynamic environment.
In the classroom our accredited programmes help you build a strong foundation of the language – outside the class, our many social activities and your CIEA friends let you practice English anytime, all the time, and in all kinds of real-life situations.
Conditions of Enrolment 1. All course fees must be received before the course starts. Sometimes it can take several days for the money to arrive if you send it through the banks. It is your responsibility to make sure that it arrives in time. All PayPal or bank charges must be paid by the students.
2. The school reserves the right to refuse admission to any student or to dismiss any student in the event of misconduct or unsatisfactory attendance or timekeeping or work, without refund of fees.
