Course overview

The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is the world’s most popular English language test for higher education and global migration.

In our IELTS Preparation course, you will receive all the information you need about IELTS and learn techniques and strategies to maximise your score in the exam. During your study, your teacher will give you regular IELTS practice tests, followed by feedback and advice on how to improve.

We offer two options to choose to study IELTS at our Academy:

  • IELTS exam preparation 15 hours

All lessons are focused on developing techniques necessary for the IELTS exam.

  • ELTS exam preparation 21 hours

This course is the best choice as it includes general English and IELTS exam preparation skills sessions. The skills lessons are focused on developing skills and knowledge necessary.

Who is this course for?

  • Students who are planning to take the IELTS test for studying at one of the UK universities.
  • Students who require an IELTS score as proof of their English level for work or visa purposes.

What score will I need?

  • Most foundation courses require a minimum score of 4.5 or equivalent.
  • Universities will usually require a minimum score of 5.5 to enter an English or English for
    Academic Purposes (EAP) course prior to your degree or post-graduate course.
  • Most UK universities require a minimum score of 6.5 to enter their courses.
  • Medicine, dentistry and veterinary subjects demand a minimum score of 7 and above as an entry requirement.

Course Summary

  • minimum age: 16 Years (Written parental consent is required for students under 18 years)

*Please note that we require a minimum number of 3 students per class/level to open a course.


Students aged 16 and 17

Students who are aged 16 or 17 will not receive a junior course level of supervision and will be in classes with students who are aged 18+. Students and their parents/guardians should consider this before they enrol on any course.
